Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

Aside Computer Inc. ("Aside," "we," "us," or "our") provides an AI browser, websites, applications, waitlist features, and related services (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

"User Content" means prompts, browser context, webpage content, uploaded files, instructions, feedback, workflows, and other materials you submit or make available through the Services. "Output" means answers, summaries, recommendations, automated actions, or other content generated by the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information, depending on how you use the Services.

  • Account and contact information: name, email address, company, waitlist information, login details, and messages you send to us.
  • Browser and product information: browser settings, tabs, URLs, page titles, bookmarks, site permissions, extension settings, feature usage, diagnostics, crash reports, and performance data.
  • AI interaction information: prompts, questions, commands, selected browser context, webpage content you ask the Services to use, uploaded files, Output, and action logs.
  • Device and technical information: IP address, device identifiers, operating system, browser version, hardware information, logs, and approximate location inferred from network information.
  • Payment information: subscription plan, billing details, transaction metadata, renewal status, cancellation status, and payment processor identifiers when you purchase or use a paid plan. Payment card numbers may be processed directly by a third-party payment processor.

2. Browser Data and AI Context

The Services are designed to work with browser context. Some browser data may remain on your device. When you use AI features, the Services may send your prompt, selected page content, tab context, files, settings, or related information to our systems and trusted service providers so the requested feature can work.

If you enable sync or cloud features, browser data may be transmitted between your devices or stored in our systems. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect that data.

If you use AI features on pages that contain sensitive information, the context you choose to provide may be processed by the Services. Webpages, documents, emails, and other third-party content may also contain hidden or visible instructions designed to influence AI systems. You should review AI responses and actions carefully before approving messages, purchases, payments, bookings, account changes, deletion of data, publication of content, or other actions with legal, financial, reputational, or irreversible effects.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • process prompts, browser actions, searches, summaries, automation requests, and other AI features;
  • authenticate users, secure accounts, prevent abuse, debug errors, and monitor reliability;
  • save settings, preferences, and product state;
  • provide support, respond to inquiries, and send service communications;
  • develop new features, train, fine-tune, evaluate, and improve our models, systems, and safety tools, measure product quality, and understand aggregate usage trends;
  • comply with law, enforce our terms, protect rights and safety, and respond to lawful requests.

4. Service Improvement and AI Quality

We may analyze usage information, AI interaction information, selected browser context, User Content, Output, and related technical data to improve the Services, develop new features, train, fine-tune, evaluate, and improve our models, systems, and safety tools, detect abuse, and improve reliability and performance. Where practical, we use aggregated, de-identified, or otherwise minimized data.

We do not authorize our service providers or third-party AI model providers to use your personal information for their own unrelated purposes or to train their own models, except as disclosed to you or permitted by law.

We may provide settings that let you opt out of certain uses of AI interaction information, User Content, or Output for model training or product research. These settings may not apply to processing already completed, aggregated or de-identified data, security and abuse-prevention uses, legal compliance, or processing needed to provide the Services.

You should avoid submitting passwords, payment card numbers, government identifiers, health information, trade secrets, or other sensitive information unless the Services specifically require it and you understand the processing involved.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information with:

  • service providers and processors that help us operate the Services, such as cloud hosting, analytics, security, customer support, email delivery, payments, AI model providers, and content processing vendors;
  • third-party websites, extensions, applications, or integrations that you choose to access, install, connect, or instruct the Services to use;
  • business transaction participants in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets;
  • law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other parties when we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or the integrity of the Services.

Third-party websites, extensions, and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their privacy or security practices.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, prevent abuse, and understand how the Services are used. Your browser may let you block or delete some cookies, but doing so may affect functionality.

7. Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, process billing, and enforce agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete, de-identify, or aggregate it unless we are legally required or permitted to keep it.

If you delete your account or your account is terminated, you may lose access to settings, sync data, User Content, Output, chats, files, usage history, and other data associated with the Services. We may not be able to recover deleted account data. We may retain certain information after account deletion or termination where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, billing, enforcement, backup integrity, or where the information has been aggregated, de-identified, or otherwise separated from your account.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for using care when enabling AI features on pages that contain sensitive information.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or portability of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also be able to adjust browser permissions, cookie settings, extension permissions, sync settings, and AI feature settings.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We may decline or limit a request where permitted by law, including when we need information for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or to protect the rights of others.

10. California Privacy Notice

California law may provide California residents with specific rights regarding personal information, including the right to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of certain sales or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

The categories of personal information we may collect are described in Section 1. The purposes for collection and use are described in Section 3. The categories of recipients to whom we disclose information are described in Section 5.

We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. If we engage in activity that California law treats as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, we will provide the required notice and opt-out mechanism.

11. European Union Users

The Services are generally not intended for users who reside in, or access the Services from, the European Union. EU users are restricted from using the Services because of compliance obligations under EU data protection laws, including the GDPR, and related technical, operational, and product limitations.

If we become aware that you are an EU user, we may restrict, suspend, terminate, geoblock, or decline to provide access to the Services, including by suspending or terminating your account.

12. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account or use the Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we may delete the information and suspend or terminate the account. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by posting the updated policy, sending an email, providing an in-product notice, or using another reasonable method. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of an updated policy means the updated policy applies to your use of the Services.
